40 Under 40: Casey King

Casey King began her career as a receptionist in the RV industry more than 20 years ago. From there, she worked her way up to general manager of a single lot dealer. At Pete’s RV Centers, she started as general manager of the acquired dealership and progressed to a multilocation parts director. She was recently promoted to national director of fixed operations.

Nominators say Casey demonstrates her leadership abilities daily with her team. She is quick to identify issues that could have a negative impact on people or the company and resolves them to everyone’s satisfaction with achievable solutions.

“She is process driven and documents them so that they can be understood by the employees, eliminating confusion or misunderstanding. Casey comes from an accounting family and can find errors in numbers or simplifies financial processes with continuous business process improvements.”

Casey is known as one of the highest parts margin producers in her 20 Group. As the service director, she has attained an exceptional profit level for the four stores that she is responsible for.

“Casey creates a welcoming and appreciative work environment with minimum employee turnover and hires people that fit well in the Pete’s RV culture.”

A family-oriented person, Casey enjoys spending time with family and is the proud homeowner of a townhouse she restored herself. She is active with the local police department and helps in the community.

“Casey has performed exceptionally well in a male-dominated industry and has earned the respect of her peers, business partners and the senior management team.”

Casey’s advice for upcoming leaders in the RV space:

“Focus on developing strong problem-solving skills and staying open to learning. The industry is constantly evolving, so being adaptable and willing to embrace change is key. Surround yourself with a good team and listen to feedback. Leadership isn’t just about managing; it’s about inspiring those around you to grow and succeed alongside you.”
