40 Under 40: Conner Mahan

Director of Dealer Services, Alliance RV; With company: 5 | Industry experience:10 years

Since joining the RV industry, Conner Mahan has built a career marked by consistent advancement and recognition for his contributions. He began as a parts packer in a warehouse, where his work ethic, attention to detail and eagerness to learn quickly set him apart. From there, he moved to frontline production, gaining valuable hands-on experience that deepened his technical knowledge of RV construction and service.

Today, as the director of technical and warranty at Alliance RV, Conner exemplifies the next generation of leadership in the RV industry. Known for his ability to combine strategic vision with hands-on problem solving, he leads with a focus on building strong relationships, empowering teams and driving measurable results.

Across the RV industry, Conner is recognized as a trusted partner to dealers nationwide, earning a reputation for his integrity, accessibility and understanding of dealer needs. Notably, his commitment to dealer success and customer satisfaction have turned a persistent industry pain point into a competitive advantage for Alliance RV.

One of his most impactful contributions has been leading the charge to dramatically improve Alliance RV’s repair event cycle time (RECT). Recognizing that every extra day in a repair bay keeps a customer from enjoying their RV, Conner has partnered closely with the company’s network to identify bottlenecks, streamline communication and implement innovative process improvements that reduced repair times across the board.

His technical expertise has allowed him to diagnose complex service challenges quickly and implement practical, scalable solutions. Through his efforts to improve RECT, average dealer repair durations have been reduced by roughly 20-30%.

“Conner has transformed the dealer support function into a proactive, solutions-driven department that not only responds to challenges but anticipates them,” a peer says. “He invests in the professional growth of his team, setting high standards while fostering a collaborative environment that brings out the best in those around him.”

Outside of work, Conner is a passionate racing fanatic who also works in the pit lanes at the Indianapolis Speedway. He enjoys primitive camping, embracing the adventure of getting off the grid and connecting with nature.

Recently, Conner purchased an Alliance RV Delta Solo — a new single-axle travel trailer — making him not just a leader in the company, but also a proud customer. “When employees choose to buy and use what they help design and support,” the peer says, “it speaks volumes about both the strength of the brand and the pride Conner takes in his work.”

What advice do you have for up-and-coming leaders in the RV industry?

“Life’s battles don’t always go to the stronger fast man, sooner or later the one who wins, is the one who thinks he can.” (Vince Lombardi) Any insight I can provide is listen more than speak, always leave your door open; be the person that people call on for help and follow through with the help. Never shy away from the uncomfortable situations, that is where growth and perspective come from.

What does it mean to you to be a 40 Under 40 honoree?

It’s incredibly humbling. I have never been nominated let alone received any award for my work. I take great pride in the work I put in and the team I have assembled — we are the best in the industry, and this reward reflects their work just as much as mine!
