Storyteller Overland

Storyteller Overland is coming to Open House with debuts that include its new MODE 170 Class B van with a hard-sided rooftop tent that sleeps four. Built on the Mercedes Sprinter 170-inch, the new offering is the sequel to Storyteller’s 144-inch van.

New standard features for the 2025 MODE include LED mood lighting above the upper cabinets, updated interior and exterior colorways, and Starlink-ready Wi-Fi. For those seeking even more off-grid experiences, the 2025 Beast MODE will come standard with new features such as the all-new Tenzing 2.0 Brushguard, upgraded Evictus suspension, new 17-inch Flarespace wheels with BF Goodrich K03 tires and an upgraded Flarespace ladder.

In 2024, the company launched the MODE XO to extend its existing MODE lineup with the addition of a vented and enclosed lavatory (shower/commode/closet), offering additional privacy and storage.

The adventure-minded brand is also introducing the GXV EPIC Expedition Truck based on the Kenworth K370 chassis. Storyteller describes the truck’s launch as “truly groundbreaking”
and notes that it believes the EPIC is the first of its kind as an RV Industry Association (RVIA)-certified, true expedition rig available through a traditional dealer network, rather than as a custom vehicle.

Storyteller Overland will also debut its Dark MODE series of Class B adventure vans with a “stealth appearance” package.

At Open House, find Storyteller Overland at the same location as last year — on county Road 17 across from the RV/MH Hall of Fame entrance.

TAXA Outdoors

Acquired by Storyteller Overland earlier this year, TAXA Outdoors, maker of off-grid “mobile human habitats,” is also hitting the ground running for 2025. New models and features include the TAXA X, a line crafted by off-roaders for off-roaders. The brand took its original NASA-inspired habitats and rebuilt each model to go farther and achieve more, the company said. TAXA X is the newest line for TAXA Outdoors, adding an off-road option to the existing Standard and Overland editions of all four habitats.

TAXA Woolly Bear

The brand’s Woolly Bear is getting a redesign — the upgraded towable offers 30% more cargo capacity, an increased track width (from 51.5 inches to 63 inches) and stability. It has wider storage compartments, a larger cargo deck, longer tongue, upgraded toolbox and a redesigned chassis with CRS2 subframe.

TAXA’s TigerMoth and Woolly Bear X will include:

TAXA Overland editions were the most successful in 2024, the company says. In April, the brand also debuted its limited-edition Dark Sky Mantis in celebration of the solar eclipse.

At Open House, TAXA’s exhibit will be located with Storyteller Overland on the other side of county Road 17, across from the RV/MH Hall of Fame entrance.
