Andrew Angel’s “Go anywhere, do anything” mindset sees him stepping in wherever needed and taking on challenges without hesitation at Camco, his nominator writes.

“He is known for remaining exceptionally calm under pressure. Whether navigating internal dynamics or responding to external demands, he brings a steady, solutions-focused presence to the organization.”

As senior vice president of engineering and product development, Andrew provides strategic leadership over product development and engineering across all manufacturing operations, aligning innovation with business objectives and market opportunities.

“I’ve had the privilege of working closely with Andrew for the majority of his tenure, giving me a unique, firsthand perspective on his impact. Having spent my entire professional career here, I’ve seen the company grow, adapt and innovate — and much of that progress is directly tied to his leadership, vision and commitment to excellence,” says one of Andrew’s direct reports.

His nominator says Andrew is an exceptionally well-rounded leader, equally comfortable establishing a new manufacturing facility as he is resolving detailed design or packaging challenges.

“What truly sets Andrew apart, however, is his groundbreaking work in redefining how consumers experience towing. In an industry that had seen little meaningful innovation for decades, he introduced a more mechanical, non-friction-based approach that fundamentally changed expectations. The result is a quieter, smoother and more user-friendly towing experience that stands out in the market.”

Known for his calm and approachable demeanor, Andrew fosters an environment where team members feel comfortable seeking guidance and sharing ideas.

Few individuals combine technical excellence, innovation and character as seamlessly as Andrew. What it means to Andrew to work in the RV industry this long:

What this industry has meant to me, at its core, is being part of something that has genuinely grown and evolved in ways none of us could have fully anticipated. Over 20-plus years, I’ve had a front row seat watching RVing expand its reach, attract new generations of enthusiasts and mature into an industry that takes innovation and the owner experience seriously. Being along for that ride — contributing during the chapters of real change and growth — is what I reflect on most when I consider what this career has meant to me. This recognition is meaningful because it connects me to that larger story, and I’m proud to have played a consistent role in it.

Andrew’s advice for younger people just starting their careers:

What I would say to those earlier in their careers is simply this: You chose a good industry. The growth and momentum that has defined this space over the past two decades has created a foundation that didn’t exist when many of us were finding our footing, and that’s something worth appreciating. The RV world has a way of drawing in people who genuinely care about it, and that shared investment in where it’s headed is what makes the community around it so distinctive.
