2026 RV PRO RVeterans Honoree Ronnie Wiggins

For decades, Ronnie Wiggins has been the steady hand behind the scenes at Vogt RV. He is the person everyone depends on when something needs to be fixed, moved, delivered, organized or solved. Part facilities coordinator, part mentor, part problem-solver and part family member, Ronnie is woven into the fabric of Vogt RV.

As facilities coordinator, Ronnie oversees equipment, building and grounds maintenance and repairs to ensure the dealership provides an optimal working environment. He also serves as a liaison between the company and outside vendors.

This top performer has been with the business since 1987, when the current company was formed, though his history with the Vogt family dates back even further through previous dealerships. Over the years, he has done just about everything imaginable; from delivering RVs across multiple states to stocking dealership bathrooms and setting up RV shows on his own.

He shows up late at night to move inventory inside ahead of bad weather and responds on weekends when emergencies arise. Coworkers say he treats the business like it is his own, in times of growth or moments of crisis.

Over the years, Ronnie has held nearly every position within the company. He has sold cars, trucks, boats and RVs, and has overseen parts, service and make-ready operations. He has served as an adviser, trainer and customer service resource, bringing vast knowledge and experience to every role.

Though he is beyond typical retirement age, Ronnie keeps the dealerships running smoothly. He stocks lunchrooms and bathrooms, ensures facilities remain up to code, coordinates forklift certifications and stays ahead of OSHA requirements and state regulations. He also keeps Vogt RV compliant with fire department requirements during off-site RV shows.

But perhaps his greatest strength is mentoring others. Wiggins treats every employee as though they are training to become the next dealer president. He takes time to explain why things matter, trains everyone from lot attendants to managers, and instills pride in protecting both the people and the dealership.

Outside the dealership, Wiggins sings in his church band and is a devoted father and grandfather. Widowed several years ago, he has since remarried a woman he met through church.

At Vogt RV, Wiggins is known as the quintessential “do-everything” employee. And when he eventually retires, coworkers say it will be like losing a member of the family.

What it means to Ronnie to work in the RV industry this long:

I started out as a young man with wife and child working for a trailer manufacturer for five years, then moving on to work for an RV dealership and then meet Mr. Danny Vogt and went to work for him shortly after. That’s where my career started, and here I am 39 years later still with Vogt RV world. The RV business has made a good living for me and my family. I am a blessed man.

Ronnie’s advice for younger people just starting their careers:

For those of you that have an interest in working in the RV business and making a career from it, just dig deep and stay with it. I believe you will enjoy this life.
