General RV Center Expands Florida Footprint
With an eye toward sustainable growth and the long-term health of the RV industry, General RV Center has increased its presence to seven supercenters in Florida and soon-to-be 21 dealerships nationwide with the acquisition of Palm Beach RV.
“The decisions we’re making for our company’s future are rooted in the commitment to ensure we are able to provide the premiere RV ownership experience for many years to come,” said General RV CEO Loren Baidas. “By strategically identifying opportunities for growth, we strengthen and exemplify that commitment to our customers, our employees and our communities.”
Located on Florida’s Gold Coast in West Palm Beach, the new location will offer sales, service and parts with room on its lot for more than 200 recreational vehicles, including travel trailers and fifth wheels to camper vans and luxury motorhomes. The nearly 40 employees of Palm Beach RV now are part of not only the nation’s largest family-owned RV dealership but also the largest in the state.
“With the shared values of quality service, sales and excellent customer experience, we are excited to join the General RV family,” said Keith Waits, general manager of Palm Beach RV. “Joining forces with General RV allows us to harness their extensive capabilities and experience, ensuring our loyal customers continue to enjoy the highest standard of products and assistance.”
With this addition, Florida is now home to more General RV locations than any other state with seven supercenters in Ocala, Orange Park (near Jacksonville), Dover (near Tampa), Fort Myers, Winter Garden (near Orlando) and Fort Pierce (near Port St. Lucie).
General RV has 20 existing locations throughout Florida, Ohio, Illinois, Virginia, Pennsylvania, Utah, North Carolina and Michigan, where it was founded more than 60 years ago and is headquartered. That number will jump to 21 locations with the early 2025 opening of the company’s second dealership in Utah (to be located in South Weber, outside of Salt Lake City).
