Vixen Composites, an Airxcel brand, announced it has introduced a new fiber reinforced plastic (FRP) product to its lineup. FibroSupreme is a 0.055-inch FRP product used as the exterior walls of an RV. It is an economical FRP product choice that doesn’t sacrifice performance or durability, Vixen Composites said in a release.
“From the very beginning of Vixen Composites, we have worked to build a complete portfolio of FRP offerings in both coils and cut-to-size parts,” said Gordon Frost, business unit manager for Vixen Composites. “We wanted to fill out the Vixen FRP product line. Vixen’s FibroSupreme FRP at 0.055” achieves the economical target while maintaining the performance and durability expectations that many RV OEMs have been wanting and have come to expect from Vixen Composites FRP.”
The benefits of 0.055-inch FibroSupreme include, but are not limited to, the following:
- FibroSupreme is 22% thicker than 0.045-inch FRP to help hide seams and imperfections.
- FibroSupreme is 20% stiffer than 0.045-inch FRP.
- FibroSupreme has 20-30% better bending strength than 0.045-inch FRP.
