KOA Adds Locations in Montana, North Pole
Kampgrounds of America, Inc. (KOA) welcomed new owners for two locations in Montana and Alaska.
John Cascarano, CEO, and the team from Blue Metric Group are the new owners of the Polson/Flathead Lake KOA Holiday in Montana.
With a strong background in hospitality and destination development, Cascarano brings a clear vision for enhancing guest experiences while creating community connections. His company, Blue Metric Group, also owns Montana RV Resort near Polson, and Moose Creek RV Resort and Bed & Breakfast near Glacier National Park, where their passion for Montana’s beauty and welcoming communities first took root.
Nestled above the pristine waters of Flathead Lake with views of the Mission Mountains, the Polson/Flathead Lake KOA Holiday has long been a beloved destination for travelers. Known for its spacious pull-through RV sites, award-winning amenities and central location in the Mission Valley, the campground offers easy access to Glacier National Park, the National Bison Range and nearby towns like Kalispell and Missoula.

“The moment we arrived in Montana, we were hooked,” said Cascarano. “Acquiring the Polson/Flathead Lake KOA Holiday is part of our commitment to creating enduring spaces that enhance well-being, create connection, and elevate the guest experience. We’re honored to become part of the Polson community.”
The Polson/Flathead Lake KOA Holiday is one of more than 500 open-to-the-public KOA campgrounds in the U.S. and Canada. Located at 200 Irvine Flats Road in Polson, the campground is open April 15 to Oct. 15.
In addition, Kampgrounds of America, Inc. (KOA) congratulated Lydia and Joel Fodor as the new owners of the Fairbanks/Chena River KOA Journey in Alaska.
Longtime outdoor enthusiasts, the Fodors bring a passion for nature and hospitality to their role as campground owners. Inspired by the beauty of North Pole, Alaska, they saw the location as an ideal place to create a memorable space for travelers to connect and explore.
Situated just outside Fairbanks, the campground offers guests a magical setting full of natural beauty and rich cultural heritage. Surrounded by birch and spruce trees, the campground is a peaceful, accessible retreat just minutes from Santa Claus House, downtown Fairbanks, and the Trans-Alaska Pipeline viewing area.

“As a family, we’ve always loved spending time outdoors, especially in unique and memorable places,” said Lydia Fodor, owner of the Fairbanks/Chena River KOA Journey. “We were inspired to create a space where other families could enjoy the same kinds of outdoor adventures and traditions that mean so much to us.”
The Fairbanks/Chena River KOA Journey offers a warm, welcoming environment with features designed for comfort and community. Guests can enjoy full-service RV sites, tenting areas, a modern playground, walking trails, community fire pits, a pet-friendly area, and evening activities that bring people together. The Fodors also plan to introduce future amenities like deluxe cabins, upgraded tent sites, glamping accommodations, and eventually a nature center and multi-use outdoor spaces.
“We’re excited for the campground to become a positive part of the community,” said Joel Fodor, campground owner. “It will attract travelers from all over the world to support local shops, restaurants, and attractions. We’ll be hiring locally, partnering with area businesses, and promoting the culture and hospitality of Fairbanks and North Pole.”
Located at 316 Badger Road in North Pole, the Fairbanks/Chena River KOA Journey is open May 15 to Sept. 15.
