EmergencyRV Assists Kentucky Tornado Victims

According to a report from WYMT, many Kentucky families affected by the recent storms are left wondering what is next.

Organizations, such as EmergencyRV, are helping natural disaster survivors in Laurel County to get back up on their feet.

Lisa Kilburn and her family lost their home after the Saturday storms. “I mean, we just prayed through it and that was, you know. Thank God we didn’t get it as worse as a lot of people, but thank God these people were here to help us too,” Kilburn said.

Woody Faircloth, CEO and president of EmergencyRV, said it is all about people helping people. “These families lost their homes to no fault of their own. They were just living their lives being good tax-paying citizens, and we don’t think they should have to wait a year for FEMA to come help them with a place to live again, and to get their family back together.”

EmergencyRV has gifted almost 300 families throughout the U.S with a donated RV to get back on their feet and rebuild.

Kilburn says it was almost too good to be true, but a dream come to life.

“We thought, we don’t have time to go out and seek help. Cause you’re here trying to save anything you could possibly save from your home,” Kilburn said. “It was just so gracious and wonderful that they came to us and it’s just been a tremendous help since day one.”

EmergencyRV will be parked outside of CHI St. Joseph Hospital in London, Kentucky, for those looking to receive or donate an RV.
