From Gary

What has it meant to work in the RV industry this long?

I began working in the RV industry as a teenager, initially seeing it as just a job. Over time, though, I found myself genuinely drawn to the work. I took pride in learning every aspect of RV construction, and the more I learned, the more invested I became. Looking back, I’m truly proud of the skills I’ve gained and the contributions I’ve made. There’s something deeply rewarding about seeing a finished RV roll out the door — or better yet, on the road — knowing I played a part in building something that helps create memories for others.

What advice would do you have for younger people just starting their careers?

To the younger generation just beginning their journey, I encourage you to take genuine pride and ownership in everything you do. Pay close attention to the details — they matter more than you might think. The trades may not receive the spotlight they deserve these days, but they remain the backbone of our world. Take the time to truly learn, to absorb all you can. Be open to the wisdom of those who’ve walked the path before you — it will help shape your growth. Dedication to your craft and a commitment to learning will not only serve you well in your career but enrich every part of your life.
