Dealers should anticipate continued inquiries, which could translate into sales activity for well-maintained units.
Pricing in the pre-owned RV segment is expected to maintain its seasonal trajectory, with only a slight 1% change in wholesale prices.* Unlike earlier in the year when significant discounts were common, the current market dynamics allow for greater pricing leverage on popular inventory. Focusing on showroom-ready campers, travel trailers and motorhomes will be important for maximizing profitability and ensuring quick inventory turnover during this peak period.

Order new units strategically to prevent overstocking as market demand evolves, NPA advised. Dealers should concentrate their efforts on acquiring and promoting fast-moving pre-owned models while proactively managing and minimizing slow-moving inventory.

The resale success of pre-owned inventory hinges on its condition. NPA said it provides comprehensive condition reports with 25-plus photographs, ensuring dealers can bid and buy with confidence. Well-maintained, clean units attract buyers, sell faster and command better prices.
