OHI Music License Open Enrollment Deadline Approaching

OHI is reminding members that open enrollment for its industry-leading discounted music license program is underway. Invoices for the 2026 calendar year are now available for payment through the OHI Member Portal. Payment is due by Nov. 26.

For outdoor hospitality businesses not yet enrolled, it’s a great time to join. Full program details and enrollment information can be found at ohi.org/music.

Music is an essential part of the guest experience at RV parks, campgrounds and glamping resorts with things like karaoke night, poolside playlists, live performances or background music during activities. Federal copyright law requires that any business playing copyrighted music carry a valid license. Penalties for unlicensed use can range from $750 to $30,000 per song, and up to $150,000 for willful infringement.

OHI offers licenses from all four major PROs: ASCAP, BMI, SESAC, and Global Music Rights either individually or bundled. Members can save up to 35% off rack rates and enjoy best-in-industry pricing when bundling all four, while ensuring full coverage and protection against liability.

“Our members look to OHI for solutions that protect their businesses and strengthen their guest experience,” said David Basler, chief strategy officer at OHI. “OHI’s music licensing program offers the best pricing in the industry and is a perfect example of how we take a complex legal requirement, negotiate on behalf of the industry, and deliver a benefit that no one else can offer at this level.”

The program provides access to all four major performing rights organizations (ASCAP, BMI, Global Music Rights and SESAC) in one place, eliminating the need to manage multiple providers. Parks that enroll through OHI are also added to a “Do Not Contact” list, helping prevent outreach from PROs and keeping the process simple.

Current members should review and pay their 2026 invoices in the Member Portal by Wednesday, Nov. 26. Payments not received by this date may not be accepted. New participants can learn more and enroll here.
