Australian RV Manufacturer Zone RV Files for Voluntary Administration

According to a report from News.co.au, hundreds of Aussie workers are in limbo after a major RV manufacturer was plunged into voluntary administration weeks before Christmas.

Zone Manufacturing Pty Ltd, which trades as Zone RV in Coolum Beach, one of Queensland’s largest luxury off-road manufacturers, filed for voluntary administration on Monday.

Rahul Goyal, Catherine Margaret Conneely and Stephen Earel of Cor Cordis were appointed administrators, with the first creditor’s meeting scheduled for Dec. 10.

Employees arrived at work on Monday morning to learn the business had been plunged into administration and sent home, weeks before Christmas.

About 250 employees are owed pay and entitlements following the collapse.

A Cor Cordis spokesman said it was conducting an “urgent review” into the company’s financial and business operations.

“(The administrators’) primary objective is to preserve value for all stakeholders, including about 250 employees, customers, and suppliers, and to determine the strategic options available for the business moving forward,” the statement read.

The administrators confirmed RV Manufacturing would continue to trade in a “substantially reduced capacity”.

Goyal said: “Zone RV has built a strong reputation as a leading caravan manufacturer, renowned for its innovation, design excellence and commitment to comfort, while pioneering advancements in four-wheel technology.”

“Our immediate priority is to assess all viable options that maximize outcomes for all stakeholders while exploring avenues for a sustainable future for the brand.”
