Airstream Club International (ACI) announce the signing of the contract for the 71st Airstream Club International Rally, to be held in June 24-29, 2028 at the Mercer County Fairgrounds in Celina, Ohio.
The 2028 International Rally marks a highly anticipated return to the Buckeye State, ACI said in a release, and it will be the first International Rally held in Ohio since 1999, when the event took place in Dayton. The location is especially meaningful to the Airstream community, as Celina is just a short drive from Jackson Center, Ohio, where Airstream travel trailers are manufactured, affectionately known as the Mothership, and where Airstream Club International is headquartered.
Local leaders and fairgrounds officials in Mercer County are eager to welcome the International Rally to Celina. The fairgrounds have invested heavily in infrastructure improvements to accommodate up to 1,000 Airstream campers on site, including the new Grand Event Center, which will be completed in time for the rally and serve as a focal point for major events and programming.
“We are proud to welcome Airstream and thousands of visitors to Mercer County,” said Cara Muhlenkamp, executive director of the Mercer County Fairgrounds. “This event highlights the investments we are making in our fairgrounds while providing a meaningful boost to our local economy. Working with Airstream Club International and the International Rally Committee has been a dream come true, and we look forward to hosting this monumental event for our community.”
The announcement comes during an exciting period of growth and momentum for ACI’s annual International Rally, the organization said, which is the largest gathering of Airstream owners in the country each year. The club recently wrapped up a highly successful 2025 International Rally in York, Pennsylvania, held Aug. 23-28, drawing thousands of members for a week of education, entertainment, fellowship and community engagement.
Looking ahead, ACI has a strong lineup of upcoming International Rallies:
- Aug. 22-27, 2026 in Minot, North Dakota
- June 26-July 1, 2027 in Rock Springs, Wyoming
- June 24-29, 2028 in Celina, Ohio, at the Mercer County Fairgrounds
Each International Rally is supported by national sponsors and features a continually expanding Exhibitor Expo, showcasing products and services tailored to the Airstream lifestyle. Attendance and exhibitor participation have grown steadily in recent years, reinforcing the rally’s reputation as a premier event for both members and industry partners, ACI said.
In addition to the strong attendance and sponsor support, ACI anticipates generating more than $2 million in economic impact for each host community, consistent with previous rallies. The club also remains committed to giving back, raising thousands of dollars during rally week for local charities in each host city.
