Leisureland RV Center Again Recognized by US Dept. of Labor
A Treasure Valley, Idaho, employer — a veteran-owned RV dealership based in Meridian — has once again been recognized by the U.S. Department of Labor with the 2025 HIRE Vets Medallion Gold Award, marking the third time in five years the company has earned the nation’s highest federal honor for veteran employment.
Leisureland RV Center first received the Medallion in 2021 and has repeatedly distinguished itself among Idaho small businesses. Publicly available Department of Labor records show that only a handful of employers statewide have earned the honor multiple times, placing Leisureland RV Center in an exclusive group of repeat recipients.
“Our team is made stronger by the veterans who choose to work here,” said John DeHoff, owner of Leisureland RV Center and retired U.S. Air Force Senior Master Sergeant. “This award isn’t about a business achievement — it’s a recognition of the discipline, leadership, and professionalism veterans bring to our organization, our customers and the Treasure Valley community.”
The HIRE Vets Medallion Award is the only federal-level award recognizing employers for their commitment to veteran hiring, retention and long-term career development. Recipients are evaluated on key performance metrics including veteran hiring rates, career growth opportunities, training investments and leadership pathways within the organization.
The U.S. Department of Labor released the 2025 award list on Nov. 26, with formal publication in the Federal Register.
With Idaho home to one of the nation’s highest concentrations of veterans per capita, veteran-owned businesses like Leisureland RV Center play a significant role in creating stable employment opportunities for transitioning service members and military families, the dealership said.
