OHI announced that Tristan Ciceri, president of Electrical Works, has been officially named to the National Electric Code’s (NEC) Code-Making Panel 7 (NEC-P07) representing RV parks, campgrounds and glamping businesses in the Outdoor Hospitality Industry.
OHI has historically nominated a person closely related to campground electrical issues to represent our industry on NEC-P07, the governing body that oversees RV parks, campgrounds, marinas and manufactured homes. Electrical Works is a family-owned electrical contracting company specializing in the design and construction of new development and rewiring of existing electrical systems nationwide in the outdoor hospitality industry.
Ciceri’s predecessor, Wade Elliott, founder of Utility Supply Group, was previously nominated by OHI and served more than a decade in the role. Upon Elliott’s announcement last year that he would be retiring from the NEC Board, OHI nominated Ciceri.
“I am honored to be representing the outdoor hospitality industry and grateful to have been nominated by OHI, especially during such an important time,” Ciceri said. “As Ground Monitor Interrupters (GMI) begin to show up in new RVs next year, it is especially important that our industry has representation on the NEC. So far it has been a great experience helping OHI educate the industry on the importance of taking this issue seriously and I look forward to continuing that education on this issue and representing the needs of outdoor hospitality industry businesses in the future.”

Ciceri, along with David Basler, OHI’s chief strategy officer and SVP of government affairs, and OHI Board Member Raf Correa, will be representing the Outdoor Hospitality Industry at the RV Industry Association’s (RVIA) RVs Move America in Washington, D.C., next week, where Ciceri will also be presenting on the GMI issue to the Campground Association Management Professionals (CAMP) group.
“It is important that campgrounds across the country be paying attention to the GMI issue, so it does not cause disruption at their park,” Basler said. “Which is why OHI has been focused on educating the outdoor hospitality industry about this issue, in partnership with RVIA and our rep on the NEC-P07, the issue was first discussed publicly by NEC back in 2020.”
