Lightspeed, Forest River Launch Integration for Automated Unit Registration
Lightspeed DMS announced the launch of a fully automated unit registration integration with Forest River.
This marks the first fully automated OEM integration of its kind within the Lightspeed platform and represents a significant step forward in eliminating manual, redundant processes for dealers. This new feature will work for all Forest River brands, the company said.
For years, Lightspeed has been building stronger integrations designed to make dealership operations simpler, faster and more connected. “Our mission has always been to simplify dealership operations and get rid of the redundant rekeying of information that slows our dealers down. This integration with Forest River is a perfect example of what that looks like in practice. Dealers do not have to do anything. The system handles it. This is the future of how OEMs and dealer management systems should work together, and we are proud to be setting that standard,” said Jeremy Johnson, director of OEM business development for Lightspeed DMS.
Unlike previous OEM integrations that require a dealer to initiate the registration process, the Forest River integration operates entirely in the background. Forest River will pull sales and customer data directly from Lightspeed on a daily basis and automatically register units on behalf of the dealer, with no additional steps, logins or data entry required. The integration is covered under existing Forest River dealer consent, making adoption immediate and seamless for current Lightspeed users.
For dealers, the impact is immediate. Unit registration is one of the most time-consuming post-sale administrative tasks in the RV industry, often requiring staff to manually re-enter data that already exists in their DMS. This integration eliminates that redundancy entirely.
“At Forest River, we are always looking for ways to make it easier for our dealers to focus on selling and servicing customers rather than managing paperwork. Our partnership with Lightspeed on this automated registration integration is a great example of two organizations working together to solve a real problem for dealers. We are excited to see the impact this has on the day-to-day operations of our dealer partners,” said James Gingerich, director of business intelligence for Forest River.
The launch of this integration follows Lightspeed’s previously announced Major Unit Import partnership with Forest River and is part of the company’s broader strategy to deepen its OEM integration network across the RV, powersports, marine, trailer and golf car industries. Lightspeed currently serves more than 4,500 dealers and maintains over 550 integrations across the outdoor recreation ecosystem.
Forest River dealers using Lightspeed DMS will automatically benefit from this integration with no setup or additional cost required. For more information, visit lightspeeddms.com or contact your Lightspeed account representative.
