Grand Design RV unveiled the all-new 2027 Solitude, a ground-up redesign of its flagship fifth wheel lineup that launched the company more than a decade ago. The new generation introduces redesigned floorplans, a completely refreshed interior and key structural technologies aimed at enhancing the ownership experience.
As Grand Design’s first product, Solitude helped define the company’s approach to RV design and has been one of the most awarded fifth wheels in the industry, Grand Design said, setting the standard for innovation and quality. The 2027 lineup builds on that legacy with reworked living spaces, new floorplan options and updates found throughout the coach.
“Solitude means something different to us because it is where Grand Design began,” said Chris Eppers, Solitude product manager at Grand Design. “We didn’t approach this as a typical model refresh. We stepped back and looked at how customers use their RVs today, from working remotely to spending longer stretches on the road, and we designed the new Solitude around those realities. Every major system, every living space and every floorplan was evaluated through that lens”
New additions include the Solitude 394RO, named one of RV PRO’s 2027 Best New Models, and the Solitude 320RK, a rear-kitchen floorplan designed for entertaining and residential-style living. The redesigned interior includes architectural accent walls, illuminated design elements, floating shelving and premium furnishings, the company said.
The new Solitude also continues to feature the Omega Fifth Wheel Frame, patent-pending Worry-Free Fiber Glass Composite Roof System and MORryde Independent Suspension with disc brakes. Together, these systems are designed to support durability, towing performance and long-term ownership confidence, backed by Grand Design’s best-in-class warranty and customer service.
