Pre-Pair & ROOFTOP Partner on Integrated Dealer Experience
Pre-Pair and ROOFTOP, two new companies built from the ground up for the RV industry, announced a partnership that connects online shopping with financing from a customer’s first visit, giving dealerships one continuous path from first click to signed deal.
Both companies were founded on the same belief: RV buying is moving the way automotive already has — toward more research, more personalization and more of the transaction online, and dealers deserve modern tools that make that shift profitable for them and more seamless for their customers. Rather than retrofitting legacy systems, the two have built fresh and are now building together, the companies said in a recent release.
Each brings one half of the experience. ROOFTOP’s websites, CRM and marketing automation make the shopping personal: saved inventory, alerts on the units a customer is watching, personalized payments and a shopper profile that follows them from visit to visit. Pencil by Pre-Pair makes it concrete: once a shopper prequalifies, Pencil shows real payment options on the units they look at, so they can shop by payment with clear terms — the way buyers already do on Carvana or when configuring a Tesla online, the companies said. The dealer sets the terms Pencil works from, so every number a customer sees is one the dealership can honor, and Pencil gives customers a secure place to upload the documents the deal needs, so the dealership collects them once instead of chasing them by text and email.
“Think of the kind of buying experience people associate with Tesla, but under your dealership’s own brand,” said Cory Watilo, founder of ROOFTOP. “Maybe you want customers to research and get prequalified before coming in. Maybe you’re working with an out-of-state customer where most of the deal will be handled on a computer. The tools should feel like they work together, and now they do.”
“The finance office does its best work when it already knows the customer’s situation and what they came in for,” said Stephanie Alderman, CEO of Pre-Pair. “With this partnership, a customer’s prequalification, the units they’ve been looking at and the payments they’ve already seen in Pencil are in the deal from day one. Nobody retypes anything, and the conversation picks up where the website left off, whether the customer is across the desk or across the country.”
The payoff runs both directions. Customers who arrive prequalified, with a payment they already like and their documents already in, close faster and leave happier. Dealerships stop re-entering the same information three times, hand deals from sales to finance cleanly and spend finance-office time structuring and presenting the deal rather than re-keying it — the work that protects gross and grows F&l profit. Dealers can tailor how much of the sale happens online, and staff permissions control who sees sensitive information.
The integrated experience rolls out to dealers in December 2026. Both companies will be at the RVDA Convention/Expo in Las Vegas, Nov. 9-14, where dealers can see the combined experience and talk with both teams.
