A local steel fabricator in Eugene, Ore., wants to hire workers laid off by Winnebago in Junction City.

“This is an opportunity for us to help the local economy and add some talented people to our team,” said Tony Bloom, owner of Mohawk Metal. “Winnebago employees are well-trained and have skills very similar to what we need at Mohawk.”
According to the company, Mohawk Metal “is currently involved in projects including a local stadium in Eugene and Rainier Tower, a 58-story skyscraper in downtown Seattle.”
“No job is too big or too small for Mohawk Metal,” said Bloom. “That’s why we always need a variety of employees and skill-sets so we can be a single source for our clients across the country.”
