Georgia Prepares for FMCA RV Expo
The Family Motor Coach Association (FMCA) will be making its 11th visit to the Georgia National Fairgrounds & Agricenter in Perry, Ga., from March 13-16, for what will be the group’s 99th International Convention and RV Expo. The event has been dubbed “Peachy In Perry” in honor of the host city.
“Perry has become a home away from home of sorts for FMCA,” said Jon Walker, FMCA national president. “We hosted our first event there in 1996, and some of our largest-attended conventions have taken place there. The Georgia National Fairgrounds & Agricenter checks the box on almost all of the items on our needs list when it comes to hosting an RV convention. And one of the key things that keeps bringing us back is that the facility and the community extend a warm welcome to us each time. So, it really is like coming home again.”
One key element of the event is the RV Expo. Major RV manufacturers and dealers bring the latest models and invite convention attendees and members of the public to stop by for a tour. The Miller-Murphy-Howard Building and Heritage Hall will house booths with RV accessories, components, etc.
Attendees can take part in seminars about topics ranging from RV driving/towing and RV maintenance to microwave-convection cooking and technology for travelers. Approximately 100 different sessions will be held.
Registrations will be accepted online at FMCA.com and by telephone at (513) 474-3622 or (800) 543-3622 until March 6.
