Italy’s Vitrifrigo Launches U.S. RV Initiatives
Italian manufacturer Vitrifrigo, a refrigeration and cooling systems company, is launching several initiatives in the U.S. with a focus on RVs.
“We are a 50-plus-year-old company known for the quality of our products and the superior technology we continue to introduce throughout all our product lines,” said Nelson Pinheiro, director sales and marketing for the company’s U.S. operations. “RVs are a priority for a company today. We are building a dedicated team to support our current and future customers, making sure they have the service they deserve and expect. We will be showcasing our products at the supplier exhibit inside the RV/MH Hall of Fame and Museum during Dealer Open House Week that will be held September 23-26 this year. We are also speaking to several OEMs and hope to have some of our refrigerators in their new Type B and Type C motorhomes and some travel trailers on display for visiting dealers.”
The new DRW180A all-in-one compressor drawer refrigerator system allows consumers to configure one drawer as a refrigerator and one as a freezer, or both as refrigerators, and both as freezers. The units require no outside venting and will provide engineering and floorplan flexibility by putting the units in islands, peninsula cabinets, etc. It has a stainless-steel finish with a vented panel and integrated door catch.
The second unit, the Slim 150 is already exclusive on a few camper vans that will be introduced shortly. This is an ideal unit for Class B and Class C motorhomes built on the Mercedes-Benz, RAM ProMaster and Ford Transit chassis.
The Slim 150 has an AIRLOCK latch system, low noise level, reduced energy consumption during the evening hours, and the ability to quickly reach desired temperature level (turbo mode). The three-star-rated, 16-liter freezer can store frozen food at a temperature of zero degrees Fahrenheit.
“OEMs that want to evaluate the Vitrifrigo products versus what they are currently building into their RVs can call me directly and we will provide them an evaluation unit after establishing parameters they want to see before considering adding our products into their products,” said Pinheiro.
