Manufacturing Conference Connects Business
gener8tor will host its annual OnRamp Manufacturing Conference on Thursday, Nov. 14, at Bankers Life Fieldhouse in Indianapolis.
More than 200 startups are expected to apply for one-on-one pitch meetings with an estimated 20 participating manufacturing corporations and venture capital firms, including Rockwell Automation, Navistar, Rite-Hite, Harley-Davidson, The Heritage Group, the National Center for Manufacturing Sciences and Sargento. As part of the successful vertical-specific OnRamp Conference Series, the 2019 OnRamp Manufacturing Conference is poised to be the premier national conference for the manufacturing industry’s top dealmakers.
Presented in partnership with the Indiana Economic Development Corporation, the conference will bring together leading corporations, investors and startups for a day of networking and dealmaking. The conference will highlight innovations disrupting the manufacturing industry, spotlight the leaders making such innovations possible, and forecast how new technologies and business models will reinvent the sector.
With manufacturers contributing more than $2.33 trillion to the U.S. economy, and boasting a greater economic multiplier than any other sector, the industry is irrefutably playing an outsized role in the U.S. economy. But now, more than ever, future success for manufacturing businesses will depend on greater levels of smart automation in factories and improvements in supply chain management. Investments in and adoption of new technology are critical to survival for manufacturing companies both big and small. The OnRamp Manufacturing Conference is the ideal venue for leading manufacturing tech startups, venture capitalists, and corporations to demonstrate and discover the most cutting-edge manufacturing technology.
“With the highest concentration of manufacturing jobs in the nation and a thriving tech ecosystem, Indiana is positioned to be a leader in smart manufacturing,” said Elaine Bedel, president of the IEDC. “We’re excited to welcome industry leaders from across the country to Indiana for the OnRamp Manufacturing Conference, and look forward to sharing best practices, cultivating new relationships and creating a dialogue on innovative ideas and technologies to further propel the manufacturing industry into the 21st century.”
“gener8tor is honored to work with the Indiana Economic Development Corporation to connect the leading manufacturers across the Midwest to leading startups and venture capitalists from across the country. We hope the OnRamp Manufacturing Conference in Indianapolis will highlight the region’s role as a market leader in manufacturing technology,” said Joe Kirgues, co-founder of gener8tor.
