25th Annual RV SuperSaver Show Canceled
The 25th Annual RV SuperSaver Show has been canceled due to concerns over the spread of the coronavirus at large gatherings. This annual event, sponsored by Region 1 of the Florida RV Trade Association (FRVTA), was scheduled to take place at the CenturyLink-Lee County Sports Complex, March 27-29.
The cancelation occurred following a meeting with show organizers and Lee County, Fla., officials who said they were following earlier recommendations from Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis to avoid gatherings of 250 people or more.
“Five dealers and several vendors were scheduled to participate,” said longtime show manager Jack Carver. “Of course, concerns about spreading the coronavirus among both show participants and patrons was paramount over our desire to promote the RV lifestyle to Southwest Florida residents.”
“We are disappointed the public will not be able to view and enjoy the various offerings our show participants had planned, but certainly don’t want to get anyone sick,” said FRVTA Region 1 President Everett Henkel III of RV Kountry. “This was a new and used event that targeted those seeking summer travel fun. We’ll regroup and see if it can be rescheduled.”
