The Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) announced the industry’s Best New Products Award winners, with the products featured this week in the inaugural SEMA360 online trade event. The annual awards, which are typically presented at the SEMA Show, recognize outstanding achievements in the development of products that enhance the performance, styling, comfort, convenience and safety of cars, trucks and SUVs, the organization said. This year, the products and awards are presented online through SEMA360.
Among the awards, two RV industry names were recognized:
CURT
CURT won the award for Exterior Accessory Product for its Tri-ball Universal Coupler Lock. The tri-ball component allows the lock to fit virtually all standard coupler sizes: 1-7/8”, 2” and 2-5/16”. Additionally, it can be used whether the trailer is hooked up for towing or left unattended. The award marked two years in a row of SEMA wins for the company. Last year, the CURT BetterWeigh mobile towing scale took home the 2019 Best Exterior Accessory Award.
Dometic
Dometic received the runner-up award in the Interior Accessory Product category for its CCF-T Center Console Refrigerator. The refrigerator features a 12-can capacity with a dual USB charging port for powering multiple devices.
The 100-percent online SEMA360 concludes later today after hosting a full week’s schedule of content and presentations for manufacturers, attendees, and media.
