RVTI Level 2 Textbooks Now Available
The RV Technical Institute has released its all-new Level 2 self-study textbooks. The Level 2 textbooks are available for purchase on the RVTI website.
The set of seven textbooks covers the entire Level 2 curriculum, including: Propane Systems; Electrical Systems; Plumbing Systems; Appliances; Generators; Chassis, Hydraulics, & Towing; and RV Body Components. Textbooks include labs, activities, and quizzes for students who wish to self-study in preparation for certification testing, and they can be purchased individually or as a set.
In addition to the self-study textbooks available for the Level 1 and Level 2 curriculum, RV technicians can receive training and certification in four other ways:
Self-Paced Online Courses: Currently available for the Level 1 curriculum, RV technicians are able to complete the training at their own pace during a 90 to 120-day window depending on when the class is purchased. Course tuition includes the electronic version of the textbooks and an opportunity to take the two Level 1 Certification Exams. The Level 2 self-paced, online course will be available later this spring.
In-Person Classes: Live, in-person instruction for the Level 1 and Level 2 courses takes place at the RV Technical Institute campus in Elkhart, Ind. The Level 1 course is a weeklong class, and the Level 2 course is four-week class. Both courses include classroom instruction, hands-on labs, and certification testing. In response to the ongoing pandemic, in-person classes have been postponed and will begin again later this year.
Test Only: Currently available only for Level 1, the written and written performance exams are available for RV technicians who have either done the self-study or someone who is an experienced RV technician who wishes to “test out” of the Level 1 course. The cost includes one attempt at both Level 1 Certification Exams. The test-only option will be available for the Level 2 course in March 2021.
Authorized Learning Partners: The RV Technical Institute’s Authorized Learning Partner program is a network of regional training partners approved to deliver the Institute’s standardized training on a local or regional basis. Many learning partners are currently holding class on the Level 1 and Level 2 curriculum. Learning Partners have access to the program’s full curriculum and training materials, as well as training from the RV Technical Institute’s staff on how to track student progress and deliver the curriculum.
