ESCAPE Homes Goes Electric
Tiny portable home builder, ESCAPE Homes, has introduced all-electric (EV) options for each of its award-wining designs, as consumers continue to seek well-made living spaces that incorporate a small carbon footprint.
“Demand for our tiny portable houses grew exponentially during the pandemic,” said ESCAPE Homes founder Dan Dobrowolski. “People want to spend more time in safe, functional settings and we’re always looking to innovate and give customers more choices.”
All-electric options include electric water heaters, electric heat and an induction cooktops as well as microwaves and electric stoves that are available in some units. EV models feature a 50A/240V power system – larger than the normal 30A/120V power system featured in ESCAPE homes. EV power system upgrades start at $3,350.
In addition, ESCAPE has also unveiled a full line of air exchangers that constantly remove air from the homes and brings fresh air in. They range from $900 to $1,600.
“Every ESCAPE design is built with an emphasis on eco-conscious construction and energy efficiency,” said Dobrowolski. “The new EV and air exchanger options reflect our commitment.”
