Keystone RV Touts Success, Model Year Makeovers for Alpine and Avalanche
While nearly every RV brand is seeing record growth in the current market, Keystone RV said its Alpine and Avalanche fifth wheels have seen a 25 percent year-to-date market share gain, according to July’s Statistical Surveys report. The Alpine brands are steadily gaining ground in the luxury full-profile fifth wheel category, the company said.
Alpine Product Manager Dustin Tavernier said he credits a 2021 model year interior makeover and two fast-turning floorplans with the brand’s success.
“We knew that when we debuted Alpine’s 3910RK at the Tampa Super Show that we had a tiger by the tail. This was our first swing at getting into the 43-foot range, and we went big introducing a rear kitchen model that has two entrances – one into a guest bath and the second into the kitchen. This floorplan also has a ridiculous master bath with an extended two basin vanity and walk-in wardrobe. That’s been a big hit online and at shows. The 3910 has rocketed to our second best-selling and may well be number one in 2022,” said Tavernier.
“Similarly, the new Avalanche 390DS came out of nowhere and now is averaging 10-day turns at dealers, which is insane. It’s also a bit unconventional with essentially two master suites plus a lofted bunk, and clearly customers are responding,” he added.
“As excited as we are about the products, none of this would be happening without a committed sales team and dealer body that really believe in what we’re doing. We have expanded our distribution which has also obviously contributed to our success,” Tavernier said.
For 2022, Alpine and Avalanche will both introduce updated exterior graphics. The company said the two brands will continue to largely stay the course to rise further in the rankings with luxury-minded RVers.
