The Shyft Group’s Revenues up 69% in Q3
The Shyft Group, makers of the Spartan RV chassis, announced sales of $272.6 million during the third quarter, an increase of $69.1 million, or 34 percent, from the same quarter last year.
The company reported adjusted net income of $22.9 million, an increase of $0.8 million, over a year ago.
Aside from the RV market, Shyft operates divisions that build emergency response vehicles and also fleet services and delivery vehicles.
In the Specialty Vehicles division, which includes RVs, the company had sales of $74.1 million, an increase of 27 percent over the previous year’s $58.3 million. Luxury motor coach chassis sales and service bodies.
The company said that that segment’s backlog – as of Sept. 30 – totaled $94 million, up 82 percent compared to last Sept. 30. The backlog rose in the third quarter by $3.5 million, or 3.9 percent, compared to the second quarter.
