Airxcel brand Dicor Products has hired Tom Joughin for the position of engineering/CI (continuous improvement) manager. Anthony Wollschlager, Airxcel group president, made the announcement.
In his new role, Joughin is responsible for both new product development and manufacturing optimization. He will also drive continuous improvement initiatives across all of Airxcel’s Elkhart, Ind., locations through the utilization of his extensive 6 Sigma background.
Joughin joins Dicor with a strong background in manufacturing, engineering and LEAN processes. Most recently, he was the research and engineering manager for Damping Technologies, an aerospace company. He holds a bachelor of science degree in plastics engineering technology from Ferris State University, Big Rapids, Mich.; and a ‘Mini MBA’ from Notre Dame University in South Bend, Ind.
“I am excited to be part of a team and culture that is 100 percent customer focused,” said Joughin.
“We’re exceptionally pleased to have Tom join our team,” said Wollschlager. “He has a proven track record of improving manufacturing processes within an industrial setting and we look forward to him drawing from his extensive experience to enhance our current production methodologies.”
