Canada’s Traveland RV Celebrating 45 Years in Business
Traveland RV Group sure has come a long way since it started as a double-wide trailer on a gravel lot in Langley, British Columbia, Canada.
The year was 1977.
Now, 45 years later, Traveland RV has added two new locations over the course of the last 12 months. In addition to its four existing dealerships in Langley, West Kelowna, Airdrie, and Grande Prairie Alberta, customers can now choose from a huge selection of recreational vehicles in Cowichan Valley on Vancouver Island and in Saskatoon.
Another exciting project for the company is the expansion of its Airdrie dealership’s 16,000-square-foot showroom and 22 service bays, which will allow it to accommodate even more RVs.
West Kelowna Traveland RV general sales manager Tyler Steel feels the company has persevered and grown for nearly half a century because it is a great place to work due to its family atmosphere. Once employees have been around for a while, they don’t want to leave.
“We have a lot of long-term staff,” Steel says. “I’m not even near one of the longest ones, and I’ve been there just under 20 years. Family is a great word to describe it. It’s a great place to work.”
It’s also a great place to shop. Traveland RV carries a massive selection, featuring more than 1,200 RV units from 25 renowned brands, and it has also found a way to stay ahead of the pack during serious supply chain issues across all industries. It has managed to keep plenty of RVs in stock, getting its customers on the road and making memories quickly.
