2022 Skills Canada National Competition This Week in Vancouver
The 2022 Skills Canada National Competition will be held at the Vancouver Convention Centre this Thursday and Friday, May 26 and 27. RVCareers.ca said more than 300 competitors from all regions of Canada will participate in more than 35 skilled trade and technology competitions. The competitions for post-secondary competitors will be held onsite while those for secondary students will be held virtually and will be highlighted onsite at the venue. The winners in all the Skill Areas and categories will be announced at the closing ceremony.
Skills/Competences Canada (SCC) is mandated to promote skilled trade and technology career options to Canadian youths. SCNC is the only national, multi-trade and technology competition for students and apprentices in the country. Pre-COVID, more than 550 students and apprentices from across Canada come to SCNC to compete in more than 40 skilled trade and technology contests.
RV Careers has been participating in the annual Skills Canada National Competition since 2013 as a Try-A-Trade and Technology partner. “We continue to attract people to experience and ask questions about the RV service technician trade and other career opportunities in the RV industry,” RV Careers said.
This event is open to the general public and all the elementary and high schools in the region are invited to attend.
