Armstrong Flooring Files for Chapter 11 Bankruptcy Protection
Armstrong Flooring has filed for bankruptcy.
The Lancaster County, Pennsylvania-based company had previously announced it was looking to sell its business. That sale will continue even though the company has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection.
Chapter 11 allows a company to continue to operate while restructuring its debt.
In a statement, President and CEO Michel Vernmette said, “Our business and team members have been working diligently to strengthen our financial foundation in the face of several macroeconomic trends – including supply chain challenges, the current inflationary environment and continued headwinds from the COVID-19 pandemic.”
Vermette went on to say the company is open for business and remains committed to its customers, vendors and employees as it navigates the path forward.
The filing was reported by WGAL.com in Lancaster, Pennsylvania.
