Germany-based Lamilux, a global supplier of fiber-reinforced composites used in a variety of industries, has introduced a new division called “Business Unit Building and Construction.”
The company said its hope is that the division, along with the specialized team that company has running it, will help it gain market share in the building industry.
The new unit is now separate from “Business Unit Mobile Applications and Industry,” which is what serves the RV industry.
Lamilux also announced that Johanna and Dr. Alexander Strunz have been named the “Bavarian young entrepreneurs of the year” by the Bavarian Family Business Congress.
The award recognizes the commitment and achievements of the young entrepreneurs, who took the helm of the family business LAMILUX just a few days ago.
According to the company, “The winners of the “Bavarian young entrepreneurs of the year” category … have already been working hard as part of the management team since 2019 to ensure the success of the family business Lamilux and were officially handed over the controls of the family business by their parents last weekend.”
The family-owned company based in Rehau, Germany, is managed by Johanna and Dr. Strunz, fourth generation owners and it currently employs around 1,300 people. It achieved a turnover of around 392 million euros (approximately $35 million) in 2022.
