America’s Largest RV Show Headed for Hershey in Two Weeks
The annual RV show put on by the Pennsylvania RV and Camping Association, trademarked as America’s Largest RV Show, is once again coming to Hershey, Pennsylvania, Sept. 13-17. Along with thousands of RVs of all types, attendees will be able to experience two days of
comprehensive training seminars Sept. 11 and 12 tailored specifically for the RV industry. The sessions cover a wide range of topics from RV equipment and electricity to air conditioning and batteries.
Here’s an overview of the seminars, to be held at the Giant Center.
Monday, Sept. 11, 2023 Seminars:
- Dexter Axle presents Servicing RV Axles, Spring Suspensions, and Electric Braking Systems, from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. The presenter will review the principles of operation, troubleshooting, and service techniques for RV trailer axles.
- Air conditioning: Soft Start Techology, Thermostats and OEM Technology Alternatives will be offered by Micro-Air from 10-11 a.m. The session will discuss the advantages of the Soft Start technology, thermostat issues and thermostat alternatives utilizing Wi-Fi and LTE-based technology.
- MorRyde presents Understanding Towable Suspension Systems from 10-11 a.m. The session will cover fit, application, and tech tips for towable suspensions and running gear components.
- Dragon Energy/Battle Born Batteries will discuss its new products and how to integrate them into existing systems from 10-11 a.m. The presenter will introduce attendees to groundbreaking battery technologies and power system products.
- Mike Sokol of RV Electricity will offer a seminar on lithium batteries and solar upgrades from 12-4 p.m. He will discuss the basics of upgrading RV electrical systems with solar panels, lithium batteries and more.
- Chris Dougherty of Dougherty Consulting presents RV Leak Detection, Repair and Prevention from 12-4 p.m. He will review RV roof and body construction, detection of leaks, and sealant selection and use.
- Xantrex will finish the first Education Day sessions with Mobile Power for RVs scheduled from 12-4 p.m. The presenter will discuss comprehensive coverage of mobile power systems, including solar power, lithium batteries, inverters, and chargers.
Tuesday, September 12, 2023 Seminars:
- Dexter Axle returns for an advanced session on Servicing RV Axles, Spring Suspensions, and Electric Braking Systems from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. The presenter will cover advanced topics in RV axles and suspensions, including troubleshooting and compatibility.
- Cummins presents RV Generators and Engines from 10 a.m.–2 p.m. with a discussion on proper maintenance, operation, and live demonstrations of Cummins generators and engines.
- A Coleman-Mach representative will offer a seminar on Basic AC and Thermostat Training from 10 a.m.–4 p.m. The session will cover the fundamentals of Coleman-Mach air conditioner diagnostics and repair.
- Truma provides a seminar on Service Tech Training from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. The session will cover authorized service work on Truma systems, hands-on troubleshooting and repair training.
- Lippert slide-out systems training is set for 2-3 p.m. Attendees will learn about the operation, maintenance and troubleshooting of Lippert slide-out systems. Lippert will host a second class on its leveling systems from 3-4 p.m. Attendees will get an overview of Lippert Leveling system operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
- Mike Sokol, RV Electricity, will present RV Electrical Systems Theory and Troubleshooting from 8 a.m.–5 p.m. at the Hershey Lodge. This hands-on seminar will help increase the knowledge of RV AC/DC electrical systems including solar, lithium and inverters.
