Outside Van Debuts Latest Mercedes-Benz Sprinter Model
Portland, Oregon’s Outside Van announced a partnership with Mercedes-Benz Vans to unveil their latest model van at the Florida RV SuperShow in Tampa, Florida, on Jan. 17.
The much-anticipated Syncline is an adventure-focused van conversion built on the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 144 All-Wheel-Drive chassis and is Outside Van’s latest addition to its Class B RV lineup.
Syncline’s layout is the culmination of years of development through Outside Van’s legendary custom van conversion division and encapsulates brand new features and components, the company said. Syncline was built to be the ultimate adventure van, and it seats and sleeps two by utilizing a series of modular components that create a “versatile and liberating living experience.”
Foundational to Syncline’s layout is the FoldAway bed, a murphy-style bed platform that also serves as a storage platform for gear. The platform is constructed using lightweight aluminum and uses gas-assisted struts to help make stowing and deploying the bed easy. When the bed is in the stowed position, the memory foam mattress and bedding neatly fold up with the bed, and the under-bed storage is revealed to create what Outside Van refers to as the “Gear Wall.” The Gear Wall consists of a built in MOLLE Panel and L-Track cutouts that serves as a canvas for a variety of storage solutions that is easily accessible without having to remove components or navigate cramped spaces. This also opens the garage area up to be a massive staging area to haul a variety of items, or as a functional and unobstructed work area.
Syncline is a full-featured adventure van and incorporates the latest systems including a robust lithium power system, Hydronic Heating, Flush-mounted rooftop air conditioning, rooftop solar and a built-in air compressor. There is also a fully featured galley with a built-in microwave, refrigerator, stainless-steel sink, plug-in induction cooktop and storage. The galley as well as the Water Box hidden interior shower are fed via a 20-gallon freshwater tank which also has a 22- gallon external grey tank attached to complete the system.
“Syncline is also built for the future and includes the latest USB-C based power connections and a pass-through port for easy installation of communication systems such as Starlink, and all the core systems are installed with modularity in mind for straightforward and hassle-free maintenance, service and upgradability,” the company said.
Syncline is expected to hit dealership lots nationwide in early February and has a price tag of $232,000. For more information and for the opportunity to reserve Syncline through a limited preorder, visit www.outsidevan.com.
