Lippert Holds ‘Built to Serve’ Event in Wisconsin

Lippert Components, Inc. held its first “Built to Serve” event of 2024 in Eau Claire, Wisconsin.

In collaboration with the nonprofit Acres for Joy, the experience provided Lippert with an opportunity to extend its community outreach efforts beyond Indiana’s Elkhart County, leaving a lasting legacy of positive change.

On June 5, team members from Elkhart and leaders from Eau Claire and Brandon, South Carolina, came together for a Built to Serve event focused on helping the Eau Claire community. Over 100 Lippert members volunteered, demonstrating Lippert’s commitment to corporate social responsibility and community engagement during its first domestic service trip to Eau Claire, the company said.

Acres for Joy partners horses with caring individuals to provide equine-assisted learning, mentoring and outdoor activities, bringing people together for mutual benefit and encouragement. During their time with the organization, the Lippert team members worked on various projects across the 29-acre property to support this mission. They refreshed the grounds with new paint, updated landscaping, constructed walls and fences, and performed deep cleaning. The Lippert team’s dedication exemplified their commitment to fostering positive change and contributing to the growth and achievement of children, especially those facing extra challenges.

“I think this week was something I needed more than I realized. Having the opportunity through our organization to give back is something I don’t take for granted, though at times we do,” said Jaycee Riewe, vice president of HR operations for Lippert. “We GET to serve others well and lead by example within the communities where we live, work and play. Sometimes, people see our initiatives as something they have to do. However, Jeff Jackson, CEO of Acres for Joy, had us reflect on how our attitudes are like the hinges of a door, allowing opportunities to open and close. This reflection gave me a new perspective that I will never forget.”

When reflecting on his experience, Mike Wall, senior manager warehouse at Lippert in Eau Claire, said, “What a privilege it is to work for a company that prioritizes its team members, families, and local communities. Participating in the Built to Serve event at Acres for Joy with a hundred Lippert brothers and sisters from across the Midwest was both uplifting and enjoyable. It’s clear proof that business can be a force for good in the world.”

The Built to Serve initiative, launched in October 2023, embodies Lippert’s unwavering commitment to community service and team unity, bringing everyone together for the greater good, the company said. By pairing Lippert leaders with team members from different locations, the program not only addresses ongoing community needs but also fosters profound connections across its diverse workforce.

“Through direct engagement and shared experiences, we’re not just building a team; we’re nurturing a family, united in our vision of using Business as a Force for Good in the World,” Lippert said.
