GEN-Y Hitch Videographer/Marketing, With Company: 1.5 years

Nik Risser understands that if a picture is worth 1,000 words, a video has an even greater impact.

He shows leadership within the GEN-Y Hitch marketing department as he manages all the video content the company publishes and assists with all other marketing projects. In fact, Nik has grown the company’s YouTube subscriber base from 1,000 subscribers to 25,000. He also worked on several video projects to catapult the company’s growth on the platform and created a video that has almost 1 million views.

Nik uses video and other marketing efforts to help GEN-Y Hitch better communicate about its products to customers. For example, in working directly with Brinkley RV, he successfully marketed the company’s partnership with the RV manufacturer and educated consumers about GEN-Y Hitch and Brinkley RV’s products, according to one of his peers.

When asked about his accomplishments, Nik says, “As part of a small marketing team, every day is a new project, whether it’s a lifestyle photoshoot, designing product flyers or coming up with a new apparel design. Sometimes it’s hard to see success in all the day-to-day projects. However, the easiest way to see accomplishments are seen through our videos. GEN-Y Hitch has over a million views on new videos this year, best highlighted with a collaborative two-part series with Brinkley amassing over 1.4 million views. The company has also seen YouTube subscriber growth of over 450%.”

Within GEN-Y Hitch, Nik is known for his strong work ethic, commitment to quality and dedication to clear consumer messaging.

When not creating content, Nik enjoys watching movies with his wife. He also loves going on outdoor adventures and exploring new places.

Nik’s advice for upcoming leaders in the RV space:

“As someone always behind the scenes and with a camera, I’m not used to the spotlight. I love giving the spotlight to others and showing off our brand and great partnerships. So I am honored because of the success of projects I’ve put so much time and effort into — it’s really special.”
