CURT Mfg. has developed two new heavy-duty towing solutions for Ford and Ram trucks with factory tow packages: one for gooseneck towing and one for fifth wheel.

The kits include safety chain anchors, a gooseneck trailer ball, a rubber hole cover and a durable storage case. The safety chain anchors feature a simple drop-in design, and the gooseneck ball installs using a quarter-turn latch-locking system.

The gooseneck ball has a gross trailer weight capacity up to 30,000 pounds and a vertical load limit up to 7,500 pounds. CURT factory-style gooseneck ball and safety chain anchor kits are available in both Ford-specific and Ram-specific options.

In 2014, the company introduced OEM-compatible fifth wheel legs made specifically to fit Ford or Ram trucks with the factory tow package. These legs can now be purchased with a CURT fifth wheel hitch head as a complete kit.

Kits are available for Q16, Q20 and Q24 fifth wheel hitches, as well as the E16, the company said in a news release. The OEM-compatible legs mount directly into the under-bed mounting locations, using a simple quarter-turn anchoring system, and they are able to convert any CURT fifth wheel hitch head to Ford or Ram fifth wheel platforms.
