OPUS Camper has announced that their new AIR OPUS inflating camper will be available in the USA from April 2017.
The AIR OPUS utilizes “air pole” technology, which converts a compact 13.5-foot trailer into a luxury six-berth family camper in less than 90 seconds, according to the news release.
Air Tent technology will remove any need for traditional poles to erect the camper, reducing total setup time from around 15 minutes to just five. An electric pump is fitted inside the camper, so all it takes is a press of a switch for the air tubes to work.
Air pole technology is a relatively new concept in the USA and the AIR OPUS is the first appearance of this technology on a folding camper/trailer tent, the company reports in a news release.
AIR OPUS made its global debut at Caravan Salon, Dusseldorf 2016, and is the latest enhancement to the OPUS dual-fold camper, designed to offer luxury camping for thrill-seeking adventurers everywhere.
OPUS Camper managing director Paul Liner said Air Tent technology was a revolutionary addition to an already revolutionary design.
“OPUS Camper has taken the world by storm with its unique combination of camper-style luxury and trailer-style compactness,” he said.
“Even without Air Tent technology, OPUS is impressively quick to set up with its easily adjusted pole system and clip-together interior furnishings, so AIR OPUS makes a good thing even better.”
The Air Tent Technology also aids in a speedy pack down. Simply release the valve and all poles are deflated, saving space inside the AIR OPUS when compared to the current pole version.
OPUS was developed to offer the comforts of a traditional RV in a good-looking compact trailer that can be towed by popular cars such as the Subaru Outback and Ford Escape.
“What all OPUS models deliver – and always will – is a unique combination of style, space, comfort and convenience in a package that is remarkably compact for towing and storage.”
