1,000 Campground Owners Attend the ARVC Webinar Series
A webinar series launched by the National Association of RV Parks and Campgrounds (ARVC) in mid-March came to a close on Thursday, but the opportunity to get questions answered by subject matter experts continues.
About 1,000 campground owners attended the eight-episode webinar series and the webinar recordings were viewed more than 3,000 times in the past month.
Subject matter experts joined a panel on each webinar answering questions about advocacy, emergency planning, marketing, insurance, legal matters, mental health, and the SBA loan process.
“Our members were crying out for information in a time when information was scarce and rumors were running rampant,” said Paul Bambei, president and CEO of ARVC. “All we did was gather a group of experts in once place, and from the feedback we’ve received, I think it was welcomed. We opened the webinars up from the beginning to all campgrounds – ARVC member or not – and the series helped answer questions and give campground owners a sense of calm during a very stressful time.”
Recordings of all eight webinars are available on ARVC’s coronavirus information hub at arvc.org/coronavirus, along with FAQ documents on each topic. These have both served as valuable resources for campground owners looking to find answers.
While the ARVC webinar series on coronavirus has ended, the opportunity to ask questions continues. Those with questions for one of ARVC’s subject matter experts can send it to arvc.org/Contact-ARVC/Staff/2 and ARVC will get the answer added to the FAQ documents posted online.
“It’s important to our industry that this opportunity continues because people are going to continue to have questions,” said Bambei. “This pandemic is an ever-evolving situation. Every state is different, every county, every city. The ARVC team is working around the clock advocating for campgrounds and our goal is to serve as best we can.”
