AANW Appoints New GMs, Fixed Ops Director

Airstream

AANW Holdings – parent company of Airstream Adventures Northwest, Bay Area Airstream Adventures and South Bay Airstream Adventures – recently created and appointed three general manager positions, as well as a director of fixed ops.

“We have seen phenomenal growth in our organization over the last eight years,” said AANW President Ted Davis. “This has required us to constantly adapt and restructure to be able to continue to grow and meet the needs of our guests. As we near the beginning of our ninth year, we recognize the opportunity for a more focused and supportive management structure at the dealership level and a strategic focus on our Fixed Ops departments.”

Former AANW Service Director Brian Robertson has been appointed to the role of fixed ops director. Robertson started with the organization as a service manager in 2011 and brings more than 24 years’ experience in the auto and RV industries.

“My overriding goal for the position is to deliver the ultimate guest experience,” Robertson said. “Toward that end, we’ll be developing a world-class training program for Airstream technicians.”

At its Seattle-based dealership, AANW has appointed Jon Land to the general manager role. After 27 years in sales including 11 in the automotive industry, Land joined AANW team in 2017 as general sales manager for the dealer group.

“Jon was the backbone of our sales departments this past year,” Davis said. “He helped establish consistency in our sales processes and led our sales teams to a record year. Jon will bring his passion, drive, and expertise to focus on supporting our Seattle dealership to ensure they meet and exceed their goals.”

For his part, Land said he welcomes the opportunity to zero-in on operations in Seattle, his hometown and the home base for his wife and two daughters.

“I have had the opportunity to meet some of the most amazing guests that come in search of making a dream come true – to own a product that is so iconic and of the highest quality,” Land said.

Joe Thomer and Rod West are the two newcomers to the team. Thomer has taken the role as GM for the Bay and South Bay Area dealerships, and West serving as GM for the Oregon and Idaho territories.

Thomer is a veteran of the auto industry with more than 35 years’ experience, serving long tenures as general manager with MINI of Marin and, prior to that, with BMW/MINI of San Francisco.

West and his wife Sharon have been married 26 years and have four children and a fifth grandchild on the way. His hobbies include spending time with family, fishing and playing golf.
