Actor John Ratzenberger to Attend 2022 Elkhart Open House
Best known as Cliff Clavin on the hit sitcom “Cheers” and for voicing iconic characters in nearly every Pixar film, John Ratzenberger is also an avid outdoorsman and RVer. He’ll be attending the Elkhart Dealer Open House on Monday, Sept. 26 and Tuesday, Sept. 27, as a guest of Xtreme Outdoors, the owners of Little Guy Trailers.
As the creator and host of the Travel Channel show, “John Ratzenberger’s Made in America,” Ratzenberger has featured the RV industry on the show and highlighted the skilled men and women who are the foundation of RV manufacturing. In 2004, he was awarded the RV Industry Association’s ‘Sprit of America Award’ for increasing public awareness of RVing as an all-American pastime.
“When Cheers ended, I moved my family to the pacific northwest where my kids could be surrounded by nature. I also wanted to spend as much time with them as I could before they flew the nest,” Ratzenberger said. “We bought an RV and hit the road every chance we could. I truly believe it changed the trajectory of my children’s lives, and mine, for the better.”
After researching dozens of manufacturers and reading hundreds of reviews, he chose the Little Guy Max.
“I originally wanted an RV I could store in my garage and the Micro Max fit the bill. But once I saw the Max, that was it. I picked it up at their manufacturing plant in Pennsylvania earlier this year and camped across the country. When Joe Kicos invited me to the Open House, I was all in,” said Ratzenberger.
He will be at the Little Guy Booth on Monday, Sept. 26 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Tuesday, Sept. 27 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Little Guy dealers will have select opportunities for Ratzenberger to visit dealerships during the year ahead based on his camping travels.
