African-American RVers Share Love for ‘Glamping’
The Texas Sojourners played country music on colorful floats.
The Steel City Cruisers rode orange golf carts with signs celebrating Gary, Ind.
The Rhythmic Rollers represented three states — Arkansas, Mississippi and Tennessee — with scooters and bikes decorated with ribbons and streamers.
Just about everyone smiled, waved and tossed candy in a Mardi Gras-style parade that opened a weeklong rally for the National African-American RVers Association at the Sun N Fun RV Resort, according to the Sarasota, Fla., Herald-Tribune.
More than 800 people from across the country traveled to the Sun N Fun rally. Many campers brought along children and grandchildren. Lots of them wore “Glamping in Sarasota” T-shirts.
