Airxcel Introduces New Suite of EV-Ready Products

Airxcel said it is presenting a portfolio of electric vehicle (EV)-ready products from its family of manufactured and distributed brands for the RV market.

The EV-ready collection contains a full range of environmental control and luxury comfort products for electric Class B campervans, Class C motorhomes and travel trailers that also have boondocking capabilities.

“Airxcel has a legacy of innovation that’s driven us into the EV market,” said Jeff Rutherford, president and CEO of Airxcel. “It’s a new age for RVs with rapidly expanding options for electric vehicles and increased demand for the use of alternative power sources that let RV enthusiasts boondock with comfort. Product development at Airxcel has focused on pursuing advancements in this exciting and innovative area of RV design to create the best possible products for our customers. We’ve developed new products for this category, and many of our existing products are already ideally suited for the EV market and off-grid camping.”

Contributing to the collection of products from Airxcel with both future EV applications and current boondocking capabilities are Aqua-Hot with a premium hydronic heating system, Coleman-Mach with energy efficient air conditioners, Dicor Products with a complete line of roofing products, Maxxair with a deluxe ventilation system, MCD Innovations with motorized RV shades, Suburban with high-end kitchen appliances and United Shade with insulating window treatments.

“We also have a responsibility to our OEM customers to be responsive to consumer demands,” said Rutherford. “Right now, we’re seeing an incredible interest from our buyers in all- electric options because they expand the usability and overall comfort of recreational vehicles especially for boondockers.”
