Jeff Rutherford has been promoted to CEO of Airxcel, the company said in a news release July 11.
Rutherford previously served as the company’s president, a position former CEO Mel Adams appointed him in 2015.
Rutherford joined Airxcel in June of 2013, and took the reigns at the company July 1, according to the release. He replaces Adams who is retiring as an active employee of the company after founding and leading the company during the past 25 years.
“Airxcel and its brands, Coleman-Mach, Suburban, Maxxair, Marvair and ICE, have earned a leadership position in their respective markets through the efforts of many talented people committed to providing excellent product and service to our customers,” Rutherford said. “Building on this legacy committed to growth in brands and product offering will lead to opportunities for our 900 plus employees building product in the USA and our business partners.”
Adams will continue to be a member of Airxcel’s Board of Directors and will continue to provide advice and guidance to the board and the company leadership team.
“I have been blessed and fortunate to work most of my career in the RV Industry where one will not find any finer people to work with from suppliers, manufacturers, dealers, and end users,” Adams said. “Jeff and his senior leadership team are highly capable and committed to growing the company which will lead to bigger opportunities for employees and business partners.”
