In mid-July, the RV Technical Institute (RVTI) hosted a service technician training session at its headquarters in Elkhart, Indiana, for Alliance RV team members.

RVTI instructors covered the various RV systems and the pre-delivery inspection process.

We want to build a high-quality product and take great care of our customers,” said Bill Martin, vice president of customer experience and a co-owner at Alliance RV. “To do that, we want to make sure that we’re being very prompt, attentive and knowledgeable. This class with the RV Technical Institute was a great way to have our team achieve a deeper understanding of how the pre-delivery inspection process works. Knowledge is truly power and having our team understand the process makes Alliance RV good at what they do. The more they know, the better they can audit the products.”

Martin added that the institute’s class encourages employees to have the knowledge and the confidence to notice potential problems during the inspection process. “We want to foster an environment where employees are comfortable bringing to our attention any issues with the unit. And that goes back to the RV Technical Institute. The more they can teach our team about the product, the more our staff will be able to tell us if they’ve noticed a problem with a unit,” he said.

“Alliance RV values growing its knowledge base and one of the ways our team achieves that is with training,” added Charles Briggs, director of quality at Alliance RV. “Partnering with the RV Technical Institute has been a good push in that direction for our team. Having a team trained in how to conduct the pre-delivery inspection process is key to the growth and development of our inspection and manufacturing process.”
