Ameri-Kart Announces Temporary Closures

Ameri-Kart, a Myers Industries company, has announced a COVID-19 policy for its Michigan and Indiana locations.

Indiana Gov. Eric Holcomb issued the directive for Hoosiers to stay at home and Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer issued a temporary requirement to suspend activities that are not necessary to sustain or protect life. Both orders require the closure of all nonessential businesses through April 7 for Indiana and April 13 for Michigan.

As a result of these orders, and due to the impact that Ameri-Kart is facing from customer closures, the company will be shutting down the majority of our operations through this period. This closure may be extended, pending the developments of the COVID-19 situation. Any extension will be communicated.

“We are pleased that the current partial shutdown has little impact on our customers, as Ameri-Kart was able to meet commitments early or the customers themselves are shut down as well through the same period,” said Kristian Stankiewicz, president of Ameri-Kart. “If, during this closure period, you identify problems, shortages, or supply disruptions, please contact your salesperson or Ameri-Kart customer service representative. If needed, Ameri-Kart will work with you to understand develop and execute a recovery plan.

“At Ameri-Kart we remain committed to taking care of our employees and their families while working with our customers and our suppliers, to emerge from this current situation stronger and capable of meeting our mutually shared goals for 2020 and beyond,” concluded Stankiewicz.
