ARCO Marine Announces Updates to Zeus App & Firmware

ARCO Marine announced a new ARCO Zeus Bluetooth Regulator firmware update (v 1.29) and Zeus app upgrade (v2.0.20 for both IOS and Android).

The Zeus 1.29 firmware update is optional. Once users have updated to v1.28, the previous release, new IOS or Android updates no longer require a matching firmware update for minor updates.

The firmware update includes:

  • RV-C messaging now requires a Master Battery Instance
  • Data Display on Victron GX (e.g., Cerbo) has been improved
  • The “Leader Commanded Ignition Disabled” anomaly has been resolved for Victron GX N2K Sync Modes
  • Expion360 CAN communication has been added

“We think many of you will not need these updates and capabilities,” ARCO said. “Although, if you do choose to update Zeus regulator to the latest firmware version, the latest app will be required to ensure compatibility. App updates are performed directly at the app store.”

The new ARCO Zeus App upgrade (v2.0.20 for both IOS and Android) includes:

  • Firmware updates beyond v1.28 are now optional. This is by request of the community, ARCO said.
  • Z-Config, a new feature, enables new configuration and firmware updating capabilities for OEMs and, in a future release, installers.
  • The “Operating PIN Required” behavior can be disabled, allowing users to access their control panel without a PIN. ARCO said it still recommends the user not disable this for security reasons.
  • RV-C CAN instances must be specified to ensure the Zeus receives the correct battery information.
  • Documentation and resources can now be accessed from the app.

All of these improvements come directly from feedback from the user and installer community within the ARCO Zeus High Energy Community.
