The Arizona Association of RV Parks & Campgrounds plans to distribute camping guides for as many as 19 states during the 35th Annual Quartzsite Sports, Vacation & RV Show.
The Jan. 20 to 28 show, which typically attracts more than 150,000 snowbirds and RV enthusiasts, is one of the biggest RV shows in the country.
“Last year, on the first day, for seven hours we couldn’t sit down. We could barely keep up with everyone who requested a guide,” said Jo Ann Mickelson, executive director of Arizona ARVC.
RV enthusiasts picked up the guides so quickly that Mickelson ran out of guides for Arizona, California, Texas, Idaho, Colorado and Florida just four days into the nine-day show. She said she had to contact several state association executives to obtain more guides to distribute at the show.
